Women are provided shelter with their children or teens up to the age of 17.

The main objective of this program is to provide children with attentive care and a safe place to reduce the stress caused by the situation of domestic violence. Our approach aims to create a welcoming and comforting environment and establish a relationship based on trust that leads us to best meet the needs of each child. Play and fun are central in our activities with children.

These activities are designed to help children express their emotions, develop their self-esteem and promote friendly interactions with their peers. At all times, we pay special attention to the impact of domestic violence on children who are exposed to it.

Domestic violence can undermine the mother-child relationship, but support can help restore it. It is in a spirit of cooperation and respect that our youth counsellors meet with each mother to assess her children’s needs. For security reasons, we help our residents find new schools for their children and implement protective measures.
